Mark Pastuszak

Mark Pastuszak is a Senior Law Clerk at McCormick & O’Brien, LLP. Mark graduated from Siena College in 1997 and from Seton Hall University School of Law, J.D. 2000. Mark clerked for Judge Edward Toy, Judge William L’E Wertheimer and Judge Joseph Perfilio of the New Jersey Superior Court, Union County. Mark was subsequently employed with Lester, Schwab, Katz & Dwyer, LLP and Clausen Miller, LLP in New York City.

Mark has extensive experience providing analysis and counsel for insurer clients with respect to commercial contract disputes and liability insurance coverage afforded by primary, excess/umbrella and other risk transfer contracts, including the provision of coverage opinions, recommendations and strategy with respect to complex disputes among insurers, policy holders and claimants. In addition, Mark has prepared and analyzed proposed manuscript policy forms for a variety of specialized coverages; provided assistance with respect to claim practices, regulatory compliance and the macro management of claims; conducted claim department audits; and served embedded claim analyst for finite projects. Mark has also assisted insurer clients with the provision of in-house claim department seminars pertaining to industry trends, best practices, regulatory compliance, and evolving insurance law issues.

Mark has a wealth of experience relating to coverage litigation involving declatory judgement actions, dispositive motion practice, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution,

In addition to insurance services and insurance coverage analyses, Mark has substantial experience with commercial litigation (construction, employment) and appellate practice.
